Pelvic Floor

Monica Hallman, PTA, Pelvic Floor Rehab Specialist, Clinical Director of Boyertown

Dr. Sushma Nedunuri, PT, DPT, MHA, PCES.
(Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist)

Are you looking for high-quality care and lasting relief from pelvic pain and weakness, sexual dysfunction, urinary and/or bowel leakage, surgery, or pre-and post-natal issues?

Let our dedicated therapists, Monica Hallman, PTA, and Jessica Duke, DPT, help you find personalized, whole-body integrative treatments and techniques to suit your needs.

Pelvic floor physical therapy involves a comprehensive, collaborative examination of medical history, movement patterns, breathing, and core stability relationships. We also perform an internal and external assessment of pelvic floor, lumbar, and hip muscle tightness and strength in the privacy of a treatment room.

We want to help restore your confidence and ability to overcome the following conditions:

Lower back pain (including radiating nerve pain, or sciatica)

SIJ dysfunction (pain in the posterior hip, buttock regions from muscle imbalances)

Pelvic and coccyx pain (pain in the pubic bone, groin, and tailbone regions)

Pudendal neuralgia (compressed pudendal nerve resulting in burning, tingling, numbness of pelvic floor and genitals)

Pre and post-pregnancy-related symptoms (abdominal, hip, and lumbar pain; weakness, nerve pain, diastasis recti)

Post-bladder, prostate, and urethral surgery complications

Bowel dysfunctions (including constipation and diarrhea)

Pelvic organ prolapse (weakening of urethral, vaginal, or rectal canal walls)

Vulvodynia (pain, burning, itching external pelvic floor/genital region)

Stress incontinence (leakage with laughing, coughing, sneezing, lifting, exercise)

Urge incontinence (leakage without warning or with “triggers” such as running water, key in the door)

Vaginal pain (pain, dryness, itching, burning in vaginal canal)

Interstitial cystitis (inflammation of pelvic tissues)

Difficulty with intercourse (due to pain, tightness, dryness with penetration)

…and more.
